I tried that along time ago…all I got were calls from people who owed 20k on a home that was worth 15k. Although I will admit they were very motivated sellers. But were pretty much SOL.

I had the same experience but…every once in a while I got a call that was worthwhile that more than paid for the ad (Pennysaver type local) so I used an idea from the boards here and run the calls to an answering machine that explains what I’m looking for and what I can and can’t do and then points them to my main number if they still want to talk. Cuts out the non-productive conversations.
