Yahoo has a real estate section that shows what properties have sold for in the past in the immediate area, within .1 miles.

Still a newbie…
I know that closed sales data is public info, but is it readily avail on the internet, w/o being a realtor?

I happen to be in Portland, OR, but I doubt that it matters…

In order to do quick market analysis of properties, I’d like to be dialed into an online source to find sales price info for comp properties that have closed… obviously, as opposed to just being able to refer to the listing price of those props still on the market.

Either it’s RIGHT under my nose or just the opposite.

THX in advance for all your input

There are a couple of companies that I know that have this data. But IT IS NOT FREE.
Try First American Real Estate Solutions in Anaheim, CA, at 800+345-7334. (used to be TRW REDI, Experian, DAMAR) I have their service.
The other is called AXCION or AXCIOM – also known as or formerly known as DataQuick. They have a toll-free number. Been around for several years.

Here’s the complete url. I didn’t take this into account when I sent you my first message. This site has other r.e. facets that I have yet to look into.
