When I wrote loans I would try the 1) old title company, and 2) the current lender, (after all they are the ones who hold your current note aren’t they?)
Call them up tell them your situation.
Where can I get a copy of a note? - Posted by Mario (HOU)

I own a townhome in Atlanta and am trying to refinance, the problem is that the new mortgage company is asking for a copy of the note which I do not have (after moving 6 times and 3 cities I lost it).
I’ve been told that the lawyer’s office where the paperwork was signed should have a copy, but they are no longer in business.
Call your county recorders office. They should be able to make a copy of the mortgage/note for you.
Look in your phone book for County Clerk, Clerk of the Circuit Court, County Recorder, ummmm… there are other names that they are called, I just can’t remember them. They should be able to give you a certified copy for just a few bucks.
You may have to go to their office, or they could mail it to you.
Oh and FYI, they generally don’t actually record the Note part, it’s usually only a mortgage or a deed of trust. But, that’s what they should be looking for. I’d question why they would actually need to see the true “note”.
