Just got a message from Alta Vista and they are not doing it any more after 12/10. I’ve tried FreeInet and didn’t like it much, hope I don’t have to bite the bullet with them again, to stay free. Thanks for the info.

I have the same problem. I have been on Altavista’s free internet service, but I also signed up with bluelight.com (it’s a partnership between Yahoo! and Kmart) and it works ok.
