You have the same problem that I and many other money managers have.
What you must stress to your investors is that any and all investment carry some degree of risk. Then tell them how their money will be protected. Everyones risk level is different, so get to know your investors. This will help you the most in the long run.
If you need any help let me know.

What would you do with access to private money - Posted by breeves

I have access to a large amount of private money. A good friend manages a portfolio of physicians and has sole discretion over the investments. What would you do with this opportunity? A primary concern for me is the liquidity factor. I would like to get at least a 24 month committment, but how would I confidently say I could return the money if requested?

I have the idea that the note business is where to look. Seems you would have security, liquidity, and the chance to make a ton of money. John Behle has some great ideas on where to find/sell paper. Visit the Cash Flow forum.
