I would recommend not investing with friends or family.
If you must, I would pay the extra money to have a mediator type of person write up a deal that both of you can agree upon.
Keep in mind that deals come and go but friendships can last a life time.

I own a nice piece of land , it worths 90k ,about 80000 sqf, a friend of mine ,came up with an idea of using my land for his next hotel, He already have one and wants to build another one on my land, so we would have to be partners, my question is What kind of return should I expect from this investment ? 50% of the net ?
