In a lot of the information I’ve been reading it is recommended that we call those ads like “We Buy Houses” or something like that to meet other investors and help us to network, etc. Sounds like a good idea but frankly, I have no idea what to say to them. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
RJay

"Hi, My name is RJay, and I noticed your ‘We buy houses’ ad. Are you the one to speak to? (All you need is “yes.” Don’t let him or her start talking)

The last few months I’ve spent time learning about rehabbing and general construction (or I have 20 years experience in …). I’m interested in wholesaling the houses I have under contract. If you are active in the marketplace, and don’t mind sharing what kind of property you’re looking for, I?d be happy to send you some info when I think I have a match. O.K."?

Now you can let him speak, and establish a dialog, or hang up and go to the next call.

How about… “Hi” ?

Now I don’t have any experience with this because frankly, there aren’t any ads like that in my area. But, I would guess that you’d want to establish a cooperative relationship right off the bat, otherwise they might think you’re just another competitor trying to figure out what they know.

I’d try something like: “I see you buy houses, maybe we can work together in some way?”
