Generally, they won’t sell you a policy for an empty home. It’s up to you to decide if you want to tell them you’re living in the home, or just flip the home as fast as possible and take the risk. If you bought the home for cheap wholesale, I wouldn’t worry about insurance. Just sell fast and get the new buyer set up with insurance quickly.
