Look at the manufacturers sheet that should be somewhere in the trailer, or you may have to get a new one from the company. Snow load will be listed on it. It just means that the roof has been made to handle at least 40 pounds per square foot of snow and ice accumulation. I think basically there are 4 main regions that homes are built for and I think that 40 pound snowloads are at the lower end of the scale. States vary on requirments and even counties do too. Where I live, they require 60# snow loads, next county over…40#.

I received a reply to an ad for a MH I have for sale. They are requesting a home that can be moved and they say it needs to have a #40 snow load. What does that mean? I am new to doing these deals and dont want to blow a potential sale by asking the buyer a dumb question.
