Anyone here work with or have experienc in investing in lofts? They are extremely popular in southern california and I think the rest of the country as well.

I love lofts, too. Built one for myself in 1999. I needed 2000 sqft for a business so I leased a 1500 sqft commercial space with 21 ft ceilings and built a 600 sqft loft for offices, etc.

The loft cost $6000 to construct and @ $.70 a sqft for the lease, I save $420 per month. I’ve been there 6 years so the numbers look like this…

$6000 to build
$30,240 total rent savings
$24,240 ahead on my investment

Of course this is a commercial example, but $24K is $24K. Viva le Loft!
