Your best bet is to contact your state and see if they were involved in this specific action. If you can’t find out, you might try contacting the Washington State Attorney General’s office to find out which states did participate. Is there an investors group in your area that might have more information?

“Wade Cook firms agree to settle claims” - Posted by Pam WA

Posted by Pam WA on October 06, 2000 at 11:39:37:

Associated Press- 10/6/2000
Two companies founded by Wade Cook,… agreed to stop “deceptive practices” and refund millions to people who lost money while using his investment advice, under nationwide settlements announced Thursday.
(further down in article…)
Separate settlements are being filed in 14 states, including Washington.
Refunds will be granted to people who paid for Cook’s seminar between 1997 and 1999 and lost money during the year following the workshop using his stock trading strategies.
“This case is not about good or bad advice. It is about Cook’s failure to be truthful in his presentations,” said John Bley, director of the Washington state Dept. or Financial Institutions, which has been investigating Cook since 1995.

The above quotes are from an article published in the Tri-City Herald on Oct 6, 2000. I can’t rewrite the entire article as it is copyrighted. You could try your local AP source, the Seattle papers online might have more to say (Seattle Times or Seattle PI) or you could check www.tri-cityherald.com

How Can I obtain more information on this topic. I attended Wade Cook’s seminar in 1999 and proceeded to lose money in 2000. Not only did I pay thousands of dollars for his seminars, but proceeded to lose money in the market after using his strategies.

Please Help.

My daughter ia an inmate @ Pinelodge Correctional Facility in Medical Lake, She’s not in the best of health, She is due to be released in out 4 1/2 months. I would like to find out what Wa. has to offer in the line of benefits available to former inmates.I am her support system, and I’m trying to help her transition back into the community go alittle smoother, she’s my daughter that had a drug
issue, I Thank “GOD” she got caught, she has recieved so much needed help while incarcerated. And I’ve got a daughter back,I’m very blessed, there are so many parents that have lost there loved ones to drugs. It hasn’t been easy it has been painful as a mother to watch, wait and worry and fret about her, now it’s her health mainly, she’s so sick now in body and I don’t really know what is going on with her, or even what is being done about it. I just want to be
ready to help her continue to be a success whens she comes home.I;m so proud of her accomplishments. So, if there is information on what’s available in WA. could you please help us with that.
