with an in ground pool you need to know what you are doing, IMHO.

Im in the process of buying a home that has a 14x28 inground vinyl lined pool. Needless to say the old vinyl has to ripped out and replaced(the pool is already drained). I have a couple of pool guys coming to give estimates later this week, but I would like to have some sort of a figure before they get here. Any estimaes or comments would be much appreciated.
Also the pump is in working condition, and im in TX.

All the 14x28 liners I have found online for a 14x28 inground pool run between $500-$700.

Where I am the liner costs about $250. I sold a house to an investor
with a pool that needed a new liner. This guy was no handy-man. He
owns a large real estate agency and a mortgage company. He’s a
power-tripper and puts on all kinds of executive airs.
But when it came to the pool liner, he refused to pay anyone to do it.
You know, one of those irrational moments that all investors have
where they end up doing stuff themselves based on some principal
about cost, but then spend $200.00 for lunch. He put it in himself
with the help of one of his crew guys. It’s still in place and working 2
years later.
If this guy can put in a pool liner, ANYONE can. Kristine

We replaced a 16x32 liner on a kayak pool a few years ago. The liner was less than $200 and can be put on easily by anyone.

about $2000 including labor.
Make sure you get someone that does vinyl liners regularly. they have pull with manufacters and know how to measure correctly.
We found someone from up north where they are used regularly. Not to common here in Florida, probably only about 2 - 3 %. Check references closely and pay for an expert not some hack.
