Very Bad Credit, But He Still Gets Property? - Posted by JB

Hi All…my cousin has horrible, and I mean horrible credit. Collectors call all around the family looking for him, but yet he is able to buy, sell and rent real estate. I simply don’t understand it. When my wife and I bought our home, we went through 2 months of credit and income investigation by the bank. My cousin gets real estate in a week or so, fixes it up then sells or rents it. I did some preliminary investigating into some hard money lender types here in Florida and all of them required a credit score of 720. There’s no way my cousin has that, in fact he has a score of 513. I’m beginning to think that ANYONE can buy real estate, or at least control it, regardless of their credit. But, I tend to think that people with bad credit are limited in what they can do in real estate…but he gets it done somehow. I know I’m rambling, but it just shocks me that he owns so much real estate and also owns deplorable credit. JB

Have you asked your cousin who is lending him money? You might want to jump in and get some of that pie. If you dont, I sure do. Find out and post the info. LOL

JB, I suggest that you stop paying your bills, aquire a bundle of 30, 60, 90 and 120 lates and your score will be below 513 and you’ll have more mortgage brokers calling you begging for your business like your cousin.

Maybe I should…LOL…I didn’t think it was possible for anyone to get real estate with bad credit. Apparently they can however.
