J.C,
I’ve been able to find owner’s names by calling the courthouse and finding a friendly clerk. You also might just ask other neighbors that have been there awhile.
Good luck.

I’ve found a vacant house in my neighborhood. Without traveling the long distance downtown to the courthouse to search through records to determine who the owner is, is there a more quicker method of finding out the owners of vacant properties? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

With an address you can find info at your county appraisers web site.Sometimes it takes a little effort to find the site. Also domania.com is helpful for comps.Easy way to get info w/o alot of travel. good luck

JC,
Here, you can phone the tax assessors office and get info on up to 3 properties at a time. They can tell you things such as the owners name, the owners address if different that the actual property, the last sales date, last sales price, assessed value, etc.
Give it a try.
