T.G. Hicks hmmmm let me see what have i seen in the book stores by him 2 books on mail order businesses, and low and behold the last time I was going through the re area in barnes & noble. Look who shows up writing a book on REI. I think the gentleman above is right … makes good kendle for a camp fire. Yes i read the book on mail order, I found it in the public library. Thought it was worthless but that is only my opinion.

Best Wishes
Eric

You can start a fire using a match and one of Tyler Hick’s books. Otherwise, his stuff is useless.

In my opinion his books are 99.99999999 percent hype with many advertisements for his products sprinkled liberally throughout the books.

I agree with Ronald, Tyler, and Scott, there are much better books around and his stuff is the LAST book I’d ever recommend.

When you have questions like this, it is very easy to put the author’s name into the search function, either on this forum or on the Carleton Sheets board2, where discussion of authors and gurus is encouraged.

It is interesting you ask about Tyler Hicks. This is the only author that I publicly say “don’t read his books.” His title is a lie. The rest of the book is full of advice which could get you into trouble, in my opinon. I think that Scott¶ is sensible to have tossed the book in the trash. I’d recommend you the same with any advertising for Tyler Hicks’ writings.

I don’t understand how his stuff can still be in print after all these years. Makes one question the publishing industry and the bookstores.

This book is alot of fluff. Not much help. There is alot better material here.

The newsletter is a waste, mostly for sale and wanted ads.

Tyler Hicks is the RE book I purchased about 3 yrs ago. HOw to make a million in RE in 3 yrs or less. Since then I have be coming here and learning here and studying other courses and books. I became active and have completed a deal. Not due to Hicks book. I wont say that it was toataly useless to me it did wey my appetite for RE, Read it, form your own opinions. That is mine follow up once your done. I would be interested in what you have to say.

After gaining first hand knowledge in here and the other books and courses I read. I chose to throw his book in the trash. Mind you I do have a building collection of RE books. I chose to deopost this one in the circular FIle. Once you gain some insight on what is realistic you will probably do the same. I do not want to make any comments due to I would hate to be blamed for slander. All I will say is what I chose to do with the book.
