Jim,
The bike is a Dyna Wide Glide. The guy I got it from is a stockbroker and he bought it from one of his clients. The bike is beautiful. The gentlemen chrome everything on the bike including the brake and clutch cables. The real attraction was that the bike, enclosed trailor and a ton of goodies.Jim, I have never own a Harley before and I have to tell you I love it! But I am selling this one. I need the cash to do more deals. The other thing is when I got married I never bought my wife an engagment ring and I wanted a Harley. She said I can have a Harley once she gets her ring. Well I got the Harley and now she wants her ring!!! I do agree with you when I get another one (when I buy the ring of course) I will look into a road king or a soft tail. Jim, run the ad (if it’s O.K. with the wife/girlfriend).I have seen in Cycle Trader a guy who wants to trade his Harley for something? Let me know what happens.

I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD that I’m considering trading or exchanging for a fixer-upper property. Has anyone done such trades for real estate? I’ve had difficulties in selling it outright so I am leaning toward this alternate. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Charles, I just traded a 4plex for a Harley. I bought the 4plex “subject too” 2 years ago and I had enough with landlording the place. I put it up for sale for $15,000.00 Dwn take over payments. Well we have lots of investors in FL but no one understood taking over payments except one guy. He said I can give you payments or my Harley with a trailer. I took the Harley and he has a 4plex that flows roughly $700.00 bucks per month. The title company went nuts with the closing. make sure you sit down with the title company and explain exactly what you are doing. We basically wrote the contract saying one Harley worth $15,000.00 for the beneficial interest of one trust (4Plex). Everything work out great. I hope this helps.

I like the idea. Give it a try and see. If you find a motivated seller you could easily use the equity in the car to buy a property.

John,
Funny you should bring this up here.
Since I moved here to Florida, I sold my old Harley to make the trip lighter.
Now that I’m here, I MISS my HAWG!
So, I’ve been shopping for a new one.
I was just thinking the other day…would it be too strange to run an add in the paper on a house and include, “Will take Harley as down payment”?

I sure could use a decent bike right now.

What kind of bike did you get?
Hopefully not a little B!t%H bike, but a big twin.
I’m shooting for another bagger, or maybe a soft tail, or road king…maybe an older FLH if she’s in the right condition…

Oops, got lost for a moment remembering my scooter…
Shoulda never sold her.
Live and learn.

Take care and ride safe,
Jim FL
