Last I heard he was retired in Southern California.
Vu was big on TV infocommerical in the 80’s preaching the rags to riches story (which W. McCorkle copied).
I think Vu gotten way over his head on his seminar when he said for 7K to 10K I will back up your deals and make you rich. The Milins and the McCorkles may have got this ideal from him. Vu may have done well, if not for the recession in the early 90’s, but no one knows???
Vu was getting big and ended up on 60 minutes. I think it was called “getting rich”. When they ask him, how many deals did he backed up. His respond was I done many. 60 minutes interviewed a few investors and the respond was negative. Vu was also in Newsweek, which became negative. After that I notice that Vu no longer was on late night TV. I asked someone that, and they said that they would not give him any airtime. Following all that, came the class action lawsuits. Then, nobody heard of him anymore until the McCorkles’ story came around. Now, all of a sudden, T. Vu is reappealing again. Sound funny! Maybe he is reappearing to see if anyone is interested, or forgotten about him. He did draw a lot of bad publicity, but this is a new crowd here. Who many have not seen, or heard of him before. Maybe someone is using his name, because it is well known in REI business???
Many people have gotten burned by Vu. Many people have gotten introduced to this business by him too.
Only Time Will Tell!!!
This is my opinion to everyone,
Rob
P.S. Vu areas of real estate investments is foreclosure in Florida. He is very well known there. Good and Bad. Ask around. Get more informations before investing in his course, or anyone elses.

I have several friends who used to teach for Tom Vu who now work for other promoters. I don’t know if you have heard of John & Greg Rice? They now do the infommercials for LeGrand and show up and speak at all of the camps. They used to teach for him a lot. Robert Thornton also did some instructional work for Tom Vu who now works for Success Magazine. These guys are very good and if Tom Vu used them I would say his material was good. In fact, I remember LeGrand and Sheets talking a lot about Tom Vu.
This does not mean I think his strategy for getting people in his seminars were all that appropriate but he did get a lot of people in the business.
I have a friend who represents the Vu familiy in legal matters and I do not recall him saying that Vu had come back to life on a program…I may be wrong.
