Tom Butler’s Short Sale Magic Package - Posted by Tyler
Posted by Tyler on December 12, 2007 at 16:04:38:
Hey all,
I noticed in the CREOnline Newsletter a link to Tim Butler’s Short Sale Magic Package for “Only” $39.95 + $5.00 shipping. I have always been skeptical of these so-called real estate gurus. I have however, bought Matthew A. Martinez’ 2 Years to a Million in Real Estate and highly recommend that book for its authenticity. I have learned an immense amount of knowledge from it.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has ever used his program to verify its authenticity and usefulness. I am going to explore him online. I just want to make sure I don’t invest in a scam when I can possibly learn more on my own about short sales for free. I’m going to continue my studies on the side, but if this course can accelerate that I’ll take the chance.
Thanks,
Tyler

I was surprised to find a link to Tom Butler’s course in the information/advertising for the Creonline convention in Las Vegas in March. When I read the link, I discovered that Tom Butler refers to several cities including Las Vegas as a “rapidly appreciating market” or similar words. Las Vegas has been a DISASTROUS, DEPRECIATING MARKET FOR QUITE SOME TIME. So, how timely can the rest of his information be? Mis-information like this and the “gurus” who offer it scare me.

Ordered the pkg 2/10/09 to be shipped overnight still haven’t rec’d it. The company entered an enrollment on my credit card for other services at $19.95 month which I had to cancel. Lucky I caught it. Still haven’t recd the original course purchase.

Sydel,
They are a paid advertiser in our Newsletter. In the text version of the Newsletter that is emailed to you–the ad is in a box that says, “Our Sponsor.” On the HTML version, it’s in a yellow box ad.
This is in no way an endorsement by CRE Online, nor does their ad have anything to do with our Convention.
It’s just an ad in the CRE Online Newsletter.

Sorry - I stand corrected… - Posted by sydel - FL

…the link was definitely in the newsletter and not in the Convention information. But what is really important is that some of his information is so wrong that people thinking of buying his course need to know this. He is apparently selling something that was current 18 months ago or 2 years ago, but the information is no longer valid.
Tom Butler’s Course - A RipOff! - Posted by RJV

I purchased the course. It is a HUGE ripoff. They hire independent contractors and have no control over the quality of the coaching. I should have thought to do more investigation. If there is so much money to be made in foreclosures, those people wouldn’t be answering the phone…

If Butler’s Course is so successful and he’s made so much money, then why is he SELLING the course? Why not just give it away? And to top it off, he charges 5 bucks for S/H!!! Anyone that charges for a plan that’s so successful, obviously isn’t very successful. It’s a rip-off!!

I don’t recommend it. I didn’t make money by this program. I am trying to get my money back.
I would say “keep away from it”.
