not people. So we need to go back and find out what really was suggested, and why. Sounds like they are talking about some kind of mortgage insurance. The kind of insurance that would pay the payment if you could not, or pay off the note if you died.

My mortgage broker is advising me of the pros and cons of buying title insurance on myself, in addition to the title insurance on the lender, at the closing. He recommends it. Is it necessary? Is it worth the 3 or 4 hundred bucks?
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

i assume you mean ‘owner’s title insurance’, not title insurance on owner? i always get it. you never know. it’s really worth the money, if someone overlooked something when they did the title search.
