Try calling the larger, national title companies: First American, Chicago, etc. and ask for the Customer Service department. Then say you would like to place an order for info and what it is. They will ask who you are, so you may want to come up with an answer. The title companies provide this service for clients. Have you been a client of any title company recently? If not, you may want to talk to an escrow officer about business that you would like to do with them and then tell the customer service department who you are working with in the escrow department. In NY, it may attorneys that do closings, in which case you would want to talk to an attorney about doing your closings and getting a referral to the title company the attorney uses. Hope this helps. Sincerely, Kristine

I’ve been calling around to NYC title companies and gotten a bunch of “we
don’t give that info out” or “we don’t handle that.”
Does anyone have a specific question - phraseology or some terminology to
use. Or perhaps a specific person (their title) that I should be asking this
question? I’ve been getting mostly secretaries who don’t know squat and
have a feeling I’d get better response if I’m talking to whom I should be.
TIA!
