I am having the same problem. Not only did he charge the $197, he also charged another $399 for mentor crap that I never signed up for.
He sent an email that he was refunding my money, but it’s been a week with NOTHING!
I sent to the BBB but I guess I have to try the Texas AG.

I am sharing my experience with Tim Mai.
He promoted heavily his product, (short sale course), by offering just for shipping expense of $ 7 on 10/22/08.
I accepted his offer and my credit card was charged immediately. Till today, 11/14/08, I have yet to see the product. I sent out several emails to him but he NEVER answered any of them. I tried to contact him through his phone, 877 my creia, during different times of the day. I could NOT talk to a live operator. After putting me ‘ON HOLD’ for several minutes, the automated system disconnected my phone each and every time. Even going through the affiliate, from where I ordered, there is no response or action.
He is the only ‘Guru’, where I have such experience. Other Gurus are prompt in responding and/or taking action.
I am just sharing my experience.

Tim Mai has a lot of Students in Houston.

HE is marketing 3daysale dot dodeals dot com
my housedeals dot com
virtualvesting dot com

almost like going to a ron legrand marketing speech on steroids.

generally when you grow as rapidly as he has customer service suffers greatly.

As bad as your experience is he has definitely taken MASSIVE action to a new level.

But make no mistake he is now full head of steam into the information business and posts like yours he should take seriously.

a 7 dollar theft is alot of risk for a little reward unless 1 million people pay 7 dollars.

keep calling or go to the other sites I posted above to see if you can get his attention.

He is teaching students to route their calls through a phillipines call center now and he may just be suffering communication breakdown.

Call your credit card company and ask them to cancel the payment and they may investigate the fraud as well.

Thanks Ken, I have already done that.
I never thought Tim to be a cheater and I am also aware that it may not be him but his customer service, where the problem lies. Even with those considerations, he can not escape from his resposibility of fulfilling his commitments. Also, the owner must take full responsibility of his staff’s action.
Therefore going to Texas Attorney General etc. are just to bring the problem to Tim’s notice so that he can correct it.
I also tried to ask him during a Q-A portion, but I was screened out.
I am open to more suggestions.
Thanks,
Raj.

One more hit to the American…call centers. These are jobs that a lot of our tenants could use.

Thanks for your suggestion.
The purpose of my posting is to alert other people who may be thinking of accepting Tim Mai’s future offer.
Of all the 'Guru’s, I dealt with, this is the only bad experience, I have.
$ 7 is not a big amount but I feel that Guru like Tim Mai need to be exposed. And if there are many people cheated by him, then contacting Attorney General of Texas and Better Business Bureau will affect him more than just one investigation.

While I agree on premise that our tenants could use jobs and the more jobs we keep in America the better, it is really only a gain if the wages we pay in America are equal to the cost in other countries.

Here is a tried and true fact. the lowest cost call centers running today that are American staffed are in utah St. George area and they use technology to keep the call center costs low, however they are still 3-4 times higher in cost than the over seas gigs. so while the tenants can have more work – the net gain to America is a “wash” when you include the loss to the investor FROM America in the additional cost increases of using American workers, our tenants versus what they would have paid oversees, our tenants have more to spend because they have more jobs but our investor has lost that equal amount and so spends and invest less by that equal amount but the money I guess you can say is spread around more.

This guy is definitely a scam artist. I called and canceled the offer like 3 days after signing up(for the 30 days free) and verified 3 days later by no longer having access to the website. They charged my card $197. and wouldn’t take it off. My bank says they are helpless. Not to mention his program is a bunch of baloney.

Tim Mai is a good marketer FOR SURE FOR SURE and the information he Repackages is the same that Legrand Robert Allen, Langmeyer, Fuller, Learning annex etc etc repackage and sell over and over.

Hey, Tim stole $197 from me. I have been on the phone
with his â??supportâ?? department for 2 months now. Each
time, they swear, money will be put back into my
account within 5-7 business days. Weâ??re now on the
fourth deadline- they swear itâ??ll be in there in 3
business days. I doubt it, so Iâ??ve made it my business
to call Lester and Joan at 877-MYCREIA every hour on
the hour until there has been money depostited in my
account. They know me well over there by now. So feel
free to call and ask if theyâ??ve given back Jennifer
Treadwellâ??s money. Itâ??ll be awesome!

I was supposed to have won the $1000 drawing from one of Tim’s webinar’s. When 30 days had passed I emailed and was told not to worry about it…I guess that is still their philosophy because after repeated calls and promises, I still have not received the money. Seems like a scam to me!

Re: Tim Mai - Posted by Mark

I also had the same issue. I canceled the 30 days free a week out from it expiring, via email. After hearing nothing for about 3 days, I went on their online email and sent another cancellation. Sure enough, on the expiration date the $197 was still charged. I got right on the live chat and demanded the money be refunded immediately and my account canceled. The virtual assistant asked me to send her the original email which I did. I was told the refund would take 5 working days, but I actually received it in about 2 days.

I would take similar action Jeff, don’t let them get away with it. It’s ridiculous that this is happening.

I enjoyed some of the material, but most of it was vague and left tons of details out to effectively conduct what he was teaching. I’m finding that with other “gurus” as well and am now staying away from them.

I went through the same thing in January. I mentioned that I would rather spend a $1000 to go visit them to get my $197 and see them in person. My refund happened within in one day after that conversation. Just remember that it is no reflection to CREOnline.
