This IS a great tip. I listen to those when I work out, too. I wish there was a motivation/success station on XM radio. There is also a website (Jim Rohn has a link to it on his site) that broadcasts different programs and speakers. I think the cost is about $30/ month. I have bought books on tape packages that were a decent deal from the Jim Rohn website too.

Right now Amazon.com and Audible.com have an offer for a $100 credit towards the purchase of an MP-3 player from Amazon with a year subscription to Aubible. There are lots of great players for under $100, so it’s essentially free. Aubdible has plenty of success/motivational books available, and the prices are much less than the hardcover editions. I figured I could get the books I want for around $11 each. This offer expires soon.

I got a lot out of Vic Johnson “As a Man Thinketh”, Denis Waitley “Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise” and Zig Ziglar’s stuff. I second the recommendation of Brian Tracy’s Success Mastery Academy. I think that’s a good place to start if you haven’t been exposed to this type of material.

Hey Everyone,
Just a quick tip that has made a TREMENDOUS difference in my life as a RE investor…

Instead of listening to the radio or a cd while renovating your next mobile home go to the library and borrow some self-help/motivation/ success tapes!

I have just finished ;

Brian Tracy - Success Mastery
Jim Rohn - excelling in the new millenium
Anthony robbins - Get the Edge

Im sure you all have other great courses in mind- could you please post them here? I have a whole bathroom and kitchen to reno next week and no tapes to listen too! :slight_smile:

Used to do the same thing. - Posted by GL(ON)

Used to do the same thing with my real estate courses on tape. Carleton Sheets, Raymond Aaron, and others. You can’t learn everything on a tape set in one hearing, this way you can listen to them several times without wasting time (16 hours for 1 tape course!) Plus it’s motivational to hear a pep talk on real estate while working on your real estate! Learn to make money while you are making money, its great LOL.

That’s a great idea, Fergus. I have a LOT of drive time and am constantly listening the audios you describe. For more ideas do an archive search. There have been many recommendations made before.
