I just closed on house in Colorado on Friday, that night went to the house to change all of the locks. Next day went back to start doing work and all my appliances were stolen. Who is responsible the builder or me?
I hope this was breif. Looking forward to hearing an answer.

Sherri:
Sorry to hear that. Did you do a walk thru the new house right before closing?? We always do it on the way, and schedule closings later in the morning so we can.
I heard of cases where the sellers gone back after closing to take things, so you should go there immediately after to secure the place. I arrange for locksmiths to be there waiting for me after closing.
If the stuff is there right before closing, then it was stolen from you, not the builder. Hopefully, you bought insurance to cover.

I am not an attorney, but it appears that you were the owner of record when the theft took place. You said you went to the house the night before to change the locks. Had you changed the locks?
You might want to advise the builder so that they can keep an eye out for things like this occurring in the future. They might already be watching certain employees whom they suspect. If this is in a subdivision where there is a lot of new construction, they definitely need to know.
