Liens on a property make that property hard to sell, they do not make it difficult to buy more…though that new property may automatically have a lien placed on it by operation of law (e.g. - judgment liens filed in a county automatically attach to property of the debtor in that county, at least here in OH).

Is it possible to purchase property if one has a tax lien or judgement against them. Also if the tax lien is only against one spouse can the other spouse purchase property.
