Folks we are living in a time of great change. Peak oil demands and high gas pricing are already beginning to affect the American economy in many, many ways. For many, I am afraid, the little â??job securityâ?? left will begin to decline more and more and the realities of trying to find another job of equal pay and benefit will be harsh.
Financial independence from a JOB could not be more important than it is today. Having an income stream of your own is the safety net that may get you through the hard times to come or it may be the only net you need.
The need for low-income housing is the political cry we hear throughout America. The folks investing in high-end homes with high mortgages may find that fewer and fewer jobs support the tenant/buyer base to make these deals safe in my opinion. In hard financial times people conserve cash either by choice or by circumstance. They downsize vehicles and housing.
