Hi Oscar,
Is there an investment club in the area you’re moving to? I just relocated myself a few months ago, and got the most honest info from the club here. Realtors too often don’t have the knowledge about REI or won’t be honest, they want to sell you something. As a realtor, I receive a newsletter from the local MLS that has stats about changes over the last year, but I don’t think it’s available to the public. I also just did a lot of reading the classifieds, driving around and looking.

Need some advice on relocating to another city to begin real estate investing. How do you go about analyzing a market? What makes a market more of a “get the deed” vs rehabs for all cash? Aren’t the “get the deed” houses in the middle to upper price range? Do realtors give information or would the chamber of commerce be helpful? Those of you who have relocated, any thoughts?
