you can check into this so called lein thing- through your clerk of courts or county recorder’s office - more than likley he’s trying to bluff you since most men think women dont know anything about nothing- and I would agree with your other response I would on a day u know he is not there go and change the locks and file a temporary restraining order - this will force the police to support you when he comes a knocking and then if not before I would look into a few different things-
1- how long were u married and how much did he contribute to the financing of this home - prior to it being paid off ,
2- if you havent filed for a divorce yet I would DEFINALITY file for a LEGAL SEPREATION of MAINTAINCE, you can generally do this on your own by simply downloading the forms off your district court web page -
3- DON’T LET HIM PUSH OR INTIMIDATE YOU!!! PROTECT U R SELF and SCREW HIM if this is how he wants to treat u !! U DEFINALITY deserve BETTER !!! hope this helps some

Owned property prior to marriage.Later separated,I moved from this property, intended to sale.Spouse took over house, refuses to leave. Can I sale house?Law wont help.Attny. to much money.Spouse states he put lein on house.Property paid for. Please help!!!
You definitely need an attorney ( and maybe some Hell’s Angels ) for this one. The issue is did the house become community property due to a comingling of marital assets (ie. joint monies for the mortgage and improvements) over time. If so, he may still have a right to be in there. Money on a good local lawyer in this case is money well spent.
