Someone on this forum advised starting at the tallest corner when cutting from full length sheets of new skirt(or old, long pieces). So that you can make the skirting go the farthest with the least waste.
It was a good hint. Then some of your short “waste” pieces can be used elswhere where they are long enough.

Well, yesterday when I skirted a mobile for the first time it was very windy.
So I had to “chase skirt(ing)”, and it isn’t nearly as much fun as actual skirt chasing!
Learned a lot, though. The tip about starting at the tallest corner to save material was great, and we were almost able to skir the whole thing with it’s original material. Will only have to buy a few sheets and I know where to get some used.
