Hey does anyone know wehat the new rules are for Fannie Mae? I talked to a bank about a Short sale and they said the owner has to be 6o late before they would except a Short Sale on this property. (Michigan proerty)

Anyone know? I thoght Fannie and Freddie were allowing this weather they (the Owner) were behind or not?

I heard this too. (60 days) Have you spoken to Fannie Mae directly? Alot of misconceptions on this issue in my opinion.

I cant get the bank to get me a hard copy of this info! i left a message with Fannie Mae but they only return calls so I had to leave a message. If this is a new rule then why is it so hard to find? cannot get a straight reply from the Bank

I heard it from an investor who stopped paying his mortgages so he can modify his loans… sad but true… another lady said she was trying to modify her home loan and complained and complained to no avail; then she stopped paying and “like magic” they started modifying “red carpet style”. I think it is the usual slimy servicers like Saxon, American home mortgage, etc.
