You will probably have better luck in the outer regions of the area, like you say with Fairfield, parts of Sacramento, Vacaville. I’m in Pleasanton, too, and find it more difficult to locate motivated sellers in the Tri-Valley than 40-100 miles away. Difficult, but not impossible.

I was inquiring as to what regions might be good for the novice investor to start wholesaling for the Bay Area.
I was thinking of Fairfield, parts of Sacramento, Vacaville.
I am brand new, fresh off Mr. Steve Cook’s wholesaling/flipping course and was wondering where people are finding or hearing of effective areas, as the city, East, South and Tri-Valley (I live in Pleasanton) are very difficult areas to try to do this.
