Selling FSBO hire a lawyer or forms off internet - Posted by Dave

The attorney was referred to me. I had hired a local FSBO services company to rent a large yard sign and put my house on the MLS. They were the ones who referred me to the attorney. The attorney had a package deal - a fixed price for all review of offers, documents prep and attending my closing.

It was very cost effective and I figure I saved thousands by not having an agent and having the quick sale.

Selling FSBo and might have an offer coming in soon. Is the $600-$1000 that a lawyer charges worth hiring them. I know there are a lot of forms online for closing that can be used that are going to be pretty similar to what a lawyer would give us.

I sold a former residence FSBO. I hired an attorney to review offers, prepare appropriate documents, et. al,. My end of the closing was very smooth, his office had everything covered for me. The attorney specialized in helping FSBO owners and had a lot of experience.

I thought it was money well spent.

I also had an independent appraisal done to help with pricing decisions and sold my house after less than a week on the market.
