If you’re worried that five or six years will be a difficult sell, why not offer three years with the option to extend for three more?

Seller Lease Option Term - Posted by Ray_Tx

Some of the books I have read show lease option examples where the Option to purchase with the Seller is 5-6 years.
Just how “real world” is 5-6 years? Are investors getting such a term or is it shorter say 2-3 years? I understand you want the longest term with the seller and the shortest term with the Tenant/Buyer. Real world numbers will help. Thanks to all.
