self directed IRA - Posted by Andy

Does anybody have experience with self directed IRA’s? I am changing jobs and have a decent sum of money that I need to roll over. I’ve been on some sites that offer the IRA but other than browsing these sites I am completely lost. I would have too many questions to list here.

Yes, just visit http://www.trustetc.com/ Its called Equity Trust Company, formerly Mid-Ohio Securities Corp. I’ve been with them for years and they do business in every state as far as I know. It’s real easy to get started and they’ve been just great to me. If you need to employ some of your IRA money, I have many opportunities in real estate that will pay decent returns and is much safer than Stocks, mutuals and hedge fund junk.

Ken, is it as simple as assigning the money with them and go buy properties or are there tax consequences or accounting necessary?
