All of these programs (Section 8) come under HUD guidelines, so you can go to the HUD website (http://www.hud.gov)to get basic info and (http://pic.hud.gov/pic/haprofiles/haprofilelist.asp) to get a listing of Housing Agencies across the country.

If for some reason this does not work, call the local housing authority or local HUD Office. Most phone books (white pages) have a section of Blue pages in them for the local county/city government.

Also, your jurisdiction (unless it is very small) should have a web site, probably with a search feature.
Once you find it, type in “housing” or “rental assistance”, or “housing assistance”. Once you find the office, call them (better yet, go there in person) and ask about the Landlord Orientation session. Our county (Prince George’s in Maryland) does one every other month. There are way more tenants than there are landlords, so you will probably be treated like a Prince when you go see them. If you call on the phone, let them know you are a “Landlord” right up front, so they don’t put you on hold for an hour or two (smile).

Hope this helps, Sherman
