I buy a big roll of plastic at Home Depot. It’s not that expensive and you get a huge roll of it. Can’t remember the price.

Where and how much, will be all over the spectrum… Most of these folks list phone numbers and you will need to find local distributors, like a flooring supplier to handle some of the better products…

My guess is that you will pay about $ 10 to 15 per tread or riser, so could be a couple hundred bucks to do a stairway…
