The active real estate investment community in Richmond is relatively small. It never hurts to network with some of the most successful people in your market. This is especially true for “newbies” in my opinion. It is refreshing just being around “like-minded” people for a few hours as well as sharing information. The Richmond Apartment Owners Association is very active and meets monthly. Most of the discussion / issues are about “normal” rental topics as opposed to creative real estate. I can give you more detailed info via E-mail.

Since this investment club discusses ‘normal’ rental topics, is it then wise or valuable to even attend these meetings? I too am in the Richmond VA area and in search of a creative investing arena to browse around in.
