Hind sight is 20/20, but always get an operating agreement, shareholders agreement, partnership agreement or co-tenancy agreement (for tic) whichever is appropriate for your legal entity.

Would someone please explain how one would go about resigning from an LLC? (After settlement has been reached) I heard of this from a lawyer but at his rates I don’t want to call him to ask him!

A good starting point would be to see if the operating agreement addresses the issue.

Thank you John. There was no operating agreement. I will be seeing the attorney again regardless but am just trying to get as much done as possible before I see him.
