Is there any rental agreement catered to garages solely for storaging purposes? I have a huge garage that I’d like to rent out but do not want to use a standard rental agreement.

Go down to your local storage rental place and grab one of their leases, should do you just fine.

Brian, I have a rental agreement I used for storage garages for many years. Send me your e-mail address and I’ll send you a copy. You’re welcome to use the whole thing or just pick and choose the clauses you like. Edwinjcb320@yahoo.com.

Brian,

I was a renter of garages like yours for many years, many many years ago. I was happy with a simple contract not unlike a standard rental agreement. (I used them for long term storage.)

An important consideration on your part will be the level of activity, or on-site time the tenant will require. This will make huge difference in the type of agreement you want protecting your asset.

If the rent you will get is equal either way, and you have a choice between a long term storage tenant who visits once a month, or a tenant looking to keep his/her daily tools/supplies or toys at the ready, hence spending a considerable amount of time on the premises, the one visit a month guy wins hands down. Just food for thoughtâ?¦
