Thanks so much for the site.
This brings up another question: What should my tenant qualifications be? (Especially this being under Sec8)
Thanks,
JCR

Hey everyone,
I am looking to rent out my rehabbed property if my buyer can’t close today (they have been jerking me around for 2 months now).
Last week I listed my property through Section 8 and have had several phone calls. I told everyone that I would be showing the house on Saturday morning.
So here I am on Friday afternoon and don’t have any idea what I should be asking (more importantly - what I should NOT be asking), what I should be getting, etc…
As per the Sec 8 folks, my house would be renting for about $900/mo. I should get about 2x that amount up front - right?
A couple of the callers mentioned an application. What questions are asked in this application - and - does anyone have onE they can e-mail me?
Thanks soooo much for your responses,
JCR

You didn’t tell us what state you’re in. If you’re in Florida, log onto www.floridalandlord.com and click on the Tenant Sreening tab. I hope this helps you.
