I am sure there is at lease one REI club in Milwaukee. It’s members come down to the Chicago’s REI meeting every so often. Call 630-858-4663 for Jane Garvey in Chicago to get their address.
Also check the ‘Local REI clubs’ section on the home page of this website. Doesn’t hurt to check clubs in the northern tip of Illinois, could be just 20 minutes from you.
If you want to hang out with professionals, you have to ‘Go the Distance’.
