Hi,
we are buying two homes in CA. A large high end one with circular driveway in a neighborhood where some homes have 7-digit prices and a normal 3 BR.
Both are REOs, bought with cash.
We own 5 lots and a 1st DoT on a 4-plex with a balloon payment of ~ 4 130,000 due in October 2011.
Q1: Would my wife be able to get some mortgage? Like 60% LTV?
Q2: Do you think a bank would take additional collateral, like that 1st DoT or lots? Just asking.
My wife has worked in Thailand all her life, so her U.S. credit is zero. She is 30 and has held AMEX and Citi cards for years, but not sure about transferring credit.
it’s not urgent, I just would like a fixed mortgage instead of having all cash in these properties. Thank you.
