Redemption periods are statutory by state.
Foreclosures.com has a nice state by state analysis of foreclosure rules.

I buy houses at sheriff’s sales in Michigan? We have a 6 month redemption period after the sale is completed.
I am looking at expanding down to Indiana and Ohio. Just curious if there are any redemption periods in these states and what the sale/post sale process is like?
