1st realtor listed property, another realtor negotiated contract for me through 1st realtor to owner who is in another state. We settled on price and I signed contract with 2nd realtor, who telephoned 1st realtor that we had a contract, to which he agreed. The next day when 2nd realtor took 1st realtor the contract and earnest money, he refused it, saying he a better offer. What’s my recourse?

Your agent should have taken the offer to the listing agent on the same day and got the seller to sign off via fax.

Without the seller’s signature you did not have a contract…you have an unaccepted offer. Not much you can do about this now. Take it as a lesson learned.
