Real High Advertising Expenses! - Posted by matt

It’s the same here in Orlando. Businesses pay triple what an individual has to pay for rates. 6 days for a business is something like $160. If you can’t afford it then don’t pay for it.

I did get a call from the local newspaper a few weeks ago. They saw my Thrifty Nickel ad and told me they could run the same ad in the Sunday paper for 4 weeks at $77. That’s not too bad. I haven’t taken them up on it yet, but I may in the future. Call and ask about volume rates for Sundays or weekends if you book ad space for a few months.

I have been advertising in the weekly nespapers in my town but I wanted to start advertising in the local daily newspaper.

I just called my local newspaper. I couldn’t believe the rates that they charge. They said that if I was an individual it would cost me $151.00 for 4 days-three lines of copy. For ten days it would cost me $343.50. So a month would cost me over $1000.00! If I’m a company, the rates go up even higher.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but who can afford that on a regular basis? Maybe the sesoned investors can, but not people who have normal middle class incomes who are new to investing. Is this normal for a daily newspaper?

to put an ‘i buy houses’ ad in in my local paper, it can onle get done as a business ad. they don’t offer 10 days. it’s $ 117 m/m 7 lines for 1 day. or the same for the weekend rate for 2 days (sat & sun for one price)
