I was talking to my neighbor about hardwood floors this past weekend. She said that hardwood floors can be trashed more easily than carpet. She said it is easy to scratch and stain it, and that renters can easily ruin it. I would stick to carpet for renters.

Soon I will be moving out of my Condo and I decided to try and rent it out. I currently have carpet but was thinking of putting hardwood floors in. I can put the hardwood floors myself for $500. Is this a good investment or is replacing carpet a better choice?
