Newbie about to purchase first single-family property with experienced real estate investor, with strategy to re-sell after we rehab the place. Length of rehab time, approximately 45-90 days. Partner plans on putting his name in the purchase agreement as opposed to an entity. I am thinking of doing the same. However, after reading Bronchick’s Flipping Properties I am unsure. We plan on getting hazard insurance as soon as we take ownership. Is it worth it to form an LLC or Corp. for such a short period of time?
