What is your county(State)? Each state is different. For example, Texas auctions are held first Tuesday of each month and notice of sale must be posted at the courthouse 21days prior to the sale.

How do I find properties that are about to go to the auction block at the courthouse steps in my county?

I feel that if you have to ask the question, you are not ready to buy at those sales.
I suggest that your read my article on foreclosure investing in the “Money-Making” forum of this CREONLINE.COM website.

I know that they are published in the newspaper and that the sale is every first tuesday of the month. I was just wondering if there is a way to find them alot sooner. I have found so far that when I find them in the paper, there is not much time to work a deal with the owner before the auction.
