Since Engl Common Law was origin of both, our civil laws are quite alike.
All except for Quebec of course and its law was derived from Fr “Code
Napoleon” just as our Louisiana laws were.

While S’s responsible for getting you a title policy, that specific info
might or might NOT show such unless it’s demanded by YOU in your P
& S Agreement.
Ergo it’s up to you to make sure it’s a condition of your purchase in
your P&S Agreement and the T Pol. includes same.
