Call your state title agency and they’ll tell you what to do. There is usually a form you need to fill out and send with the title when you submit it.
NOT A BIG DEAL… believe me it’s been done before and NO don’t ask me how I know…B-)

I was en route to closing my first deal when I made a very stupid mistake. In all the excitement of getting my offer accepted I prematurely wrote the buyers name as the purchaser on the back of the title. Two days later he backed out citing that he could not get the funds together. Now I have a new party that is very interested but I have the other individuals name on the back of the title.Is it “illegal” to cross off or white out the other name and simply write the new buyers name or do I have to go through the hassle of paying for a new title and waiting for it to arrive. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
