I’ve been attending foreclosure auctions for a few months now. The great majority of sales are cancelled or postponed due to bankruptcy, mutual agreement or beneficiary request. I just saw one that was postponed due to “Order of Law.” Just curious about this terminology since I haven’t seen it used before. Makes me think the notifications weren’t made properly or something. Thanks for your help.

There is probably some sort of civil litigation filed or ongoing and the court ordered that the foreclosure proceeding be stayed pending the outcome of that matter.
